Hello, we are Brad and Terry Burns. We work side by side in offering our customers honest and fair pricing for a range of services. We enjoy the outdoors and what better way than to work outdoors! We strive to do our best at each project and understanding the customer’s needs. We try and exemplify the core values our parents and grandparents instilled in us. We’ve tried to pass those same values down to our kids (grandkids are a “work in progress” lol).We believe, you don’t have to have a lot to be rich – just the devoted love of each other and a means to get by.

Brad originally grew up in San Augustine area and Terry grew up in Grapevine (when it was still a small town). We met at church one day and Brad was smitten. We lived in Grapevine for a time until our work with the Concrete Polishing Association took us on the road. We lived in a motorhome for 2 years, traveling across the United States offering classes and teaching about concrete polishing and construction. It was a fast-paced and hectic time.

We longed for a slower pace of life and a piece of dirt to call our own. We finally settled outside the Nacogdoches area and bought 44 acres of pasture and trees. North Forty Farm was created. A peaceful place to enjoy the outdoors and all it has to offer.

After about 10 years we downsized to 30 acres of forest in Laneville. Brad is exceptional at seeing something come from nothing (vision). He did it with North Forty Farm and again at the Lazy Forest. He took an overgrown forest with briars and underbrush, and with (lots of!) Terry’s help, created a special hideaway to live and work from. Well… we did mention we loved the outdoors!
